Yuuk kita intip pelajaran kita hari ini 🥰🥰🥰

Kita pasti setiap hari sering melihat iklan dimana-mana setiap harinya, entah itu di TV, Radio, Koran, Majalah, Banner, Baliho, Pamflet, Sosial Media, dan lain lain. Bukan main lagi sepertinya iklan sudah menjadi hal lumrah yang sehari-hari kita lihat dimanapun kita berada. Biasanya iklan berisi berita tentang produk, jasa, ataupun lowongan pekerjaan. Iklan dalam bahasa inggris disebut dengan Advertisement (disingkat menjadi Ads). Advertisement bertujuan untuk mengumumkan sesuatu agar banyak orang tertarik untuk membelinya atau menggunakannya dan tentu menambah kepopuleran dari produk tersebut. Iklan bisa berupa tulisan, Lisan, maupun Audio-Visual yang sering kita lihat di TV.

 Iklan ada berupa produk, jasa bahkan lowongankerja (Vacancy)

Fungsi Advertisement

• Giving an information = Advertisement tentu memberikan informasi kepada konsumen tentang apa-apa hal tentang produk/jasa yang akan dijual.
• To influence or to persuade = Sebuah Advertisement berfungsi untuk membujuk atau mempengaruhi seseorang untuk membeli barang atau jasa yang terdapat pada Advertisement. Tentu dengan menggunakan kata-kata yang menarik dan kreatif hingga membuat orang-orang ingin membelinya.
• To give the impression : Dengan memperkenalkan produk kita ke orang lain maka orang-orang akan mempunyai kesan tersendiri dengan Advertisement yang kita pasang, contohnya Advertisement-nya yang menarik, lucu, mudah diingat, bahkan sampai terbawa ke kehidupan sehari-hari.
• Communication tool = Advertisement bisa menjadi alat komunikasi yang baik antara penjual dan pembeli secara tidak langsung. Jadi ketika calon pembeli melihat Advertisement suatu produk dan merasa tertarik maka dia pasti akan membeli produk tersebut kepada penjual.

 

Generic Structure dari Advertisement

• Title (Judul) = Bagian title ini menjelaskan rangkuman atau merupakan topik utama dari Advertisement. Contohnya: Buy one get one free!
• Explanation (Penjelasan) = Pada bagian explanation ini berisi semua informasi mengenai Advertisement itu sendiri, Yaitu bisa berupa, apa produknya, siapa yang harus memakainya, bagaimana cara menggunakannya, dan lain sebagainya.

Report Text adalah teks yang mendeskripsikan sesuatu atau benda-benda secara umum, contohnya berbagai benda atau fenomena alam, buatan dan sosial yang ada atau terjadi di lingkungan kita. Teks report mengupas suatu hasil pengamatan, penelaahan, penelitian, observasi, atau study tentang benda atau binatang, orang atau tempat. 

Report Text hampir sama dengan Descriptive Text yang membedakan adalah objek yang diceritakan berbentuk jamak, sedangkan objek yang diceritakan pada Descriptive Text berbentuk tunggal. 

 

Generic Structure Report Text adalah :

1.      General classification (Klasifikasi umum) : pengantar tentang sesuatu atau fenomena yang akan dibahas.

2. Description (Deskripsi) : menerangkan sesuatu atau fenomena yang dibahas, meliputi bagian-bagian, kualitas dan perilaku.

Ciri-ciri Report Text adalah :
1. Menggunakan pola kalimat Simple Present Tense
2. Menggunakan kata benda umum (general nouns)
3. Menggunakan kata kerja yang saling berhubungan (relating verbs)
4. Terdiri dari sebuah objek ditambah objek tentang alam lainnya.

 

Contoh Report Text :

ELEPHANT

Elephant is the largest and strongest of all animals. It is a strange looking animal which it has thick legs, huge sides and backs, large hanging ears, a small tail, little eyes, long white tusks and above all, elephant has a long nose, the trunk. An elephant is commonly seen in a zoo, it is hard to find in its natural habitat.

The trunk is the elephant's peculiar feature. This trunk has various usages. The elephant draws up water by its trunk and can squirt the water all over its body like a shower bath. The elephant's trunk also lifts leaves and put them into its mouth. In fact, the trunk serves the elephant as long arm and hand. An elephant looks very clumsy and heavy and yet an elephant can move very quickly.

The elephant is very intelligent animal. Its intelligence combined with its great strength makes an elephant a very useful servant to man. Elephant can be trained to serve in various ways such as carry heavy loads, hunt for tigers and even fight. An elephant is really a smart animal.

 Rafflesia can be found in the forests of Malaysia, Southern Thailand, Sumatra and Java. But, Rafflesia flowers are fairly hard to locate. It is especially difficult to see them in bloom. Its buds take up to 10 months to develop while its blossom lasts for just a few days.

      Rafflesia has brownish, scale like leaves and fleshy, smelling flowers of various sizes, from few inches to meter big in diameter. We usually notice its large fleshy flowers. There is a deep well in the centre of the flowers. The sexual organs are located beneath the rim of the disk. Male and female flowers are separate.

      The reddish brown colors of the petals, sprinkled with white freckles produce unpleasant stench, similar to rotting flesh. This would attract flies and insects which help disperse the seeds. Rafflesia isparasite, which means it takes the nutrient out of its host.

Mahogany

In the natural rainforest, Mahogany is a very large canopy tree, sometimes reaching over 150 feet in height, with trunks sometimes more than 6 feet in diameter above a large basal buttress. It is a generally open-crowned tree, with gray to brownish-red fissured bark.

Mahogany is perhaps the most valuable timber tree in the whole of Latin America and has been heavily exploited for most of this century. Mahogany is becoming increasingly rare, and is already extinct in parts of its original range. It is listed as threatened in "Arboles Maderables en Peligro de Extinción en Costa Rica" and is listed in CITES Appendix III.

Mahogany varies from yellowish, reddish, pinkish, or salmon colored when freshly cut, to a deep rich red, to reddish brown as the wood matures with age. Mahogany is fine to medium texture, with uniform to interlocking grain, ranging from straight to wavy or curly. Irregularities in the grain often produce highly attractive figures such as fiddle back or mottle. Mahogany polishes to a high luster, with excellent working and finishing characteristics. It responds well to hand and machine tools, has good nailing and screwing properties, and turns and carves superbly.

Mahogany is regarded by many as the world's premier wood for fine cabinetry, high-class furniture, trimming fine boats, pianos and other musical instruments, sculpture, joinery, turnery, figured and decorative veneer, interior trim, and carving.
